
Meet Our Founder
Dr. Kellie Jenkins, an accomplished educator and lifelong learner, emphasizes the importance of confident, knowledgeable, and efficient teachers for student success. Her career includes roles as a University Supervisor, Instructional Coach, Testing Coordinator, Social & Emotional Learning Coordinator, and K-12 Reading Specialist. She has held numerous leadership positions, completed a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, and obtained National Board Certification. Dr. Jackson mentors teachers, advocates for student equity, and aims to open High Point Prep Academy to provide quality education to marginalized and underrepresented students in her community.
Our mission is to give students agency in their learning and inspire them to become leaders in social justice. We emphasize literacy, stewardship, and social justice, helping students develop the skills and confidence to advocate for themselves and their communities. Through strong community partnerships, we support intersectional movements and work toward advancing human rights for all.
